Ayodhya is a city located in Ayodhya district of Uttar Pradesh, India. The city is identified with the legendary city of Ayodhya, and as such, is the birthplace of Rama and setting of the epic Ramayana.

  • Motherland of Lord Rama: Ayodhya holds a unique place in Hindu tradition as the motherland of Lord Rama, considered the seventh icon of Lord Vishnu. His life and training in the Ramayana have profoundly told Indian culture and temples.

  • Kanak Bhawan sometimes referred to as Sone-ka-Ghar, is a shrine to Lord Rama and his wife Mata Sita. It is renowned for its magnificent symbols and a tribute to the devotion of the megacity to Lord Rama.

  • Treta Ke Thakur: The statues of Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana are kept in this tabernacle. It is thought that this is where Lord Rama carried out the Ashwamedha Yagna

  • Nageshwarnath Temple: : It is believed that Lord Rama personally erected this ancient Shiva tabernacle while he was in Ayodhya.
